Pressure drop in Vaillant ecoFit Pure 825- 835

Thank you ladies and gentlemen you have all been very helpful.
The discharge pipe has water dripping out and for some time it seems (if I'm not wrong) as there was also some sludge. It seems the engineer that came to service did not check this.
How can I go about this with or without the engineer?

You need an engineer to change the pressure relief valve , preferably not the jerk who attended previously!

Think you misunderstood.

The boiler has a pipe that goes to outside and is an open ended pipe... This is your discharge pipe and allows the system to "dump" water to outside in the event of going above @3bar in system pressure.

Look for a pipe that comes out the wall and bends round or down to point back at wall or down it.
Thank you very much for clarifying that. I tried really hard to Google it but couldn't get a clear description. Not to mention my lack of knowledge in the subject.

In the visit 2 weeks ago it states that he changed the PRV. Could it be anything else? Or could it be that he didn't actually change it?
I wasn't there during the visit.

Anyone's guess as to what was , or wasn't done. If water is leaking out of the pipework outside now the prv needs attention.

I don't want to malign the fellow, but when you call them back, explain that the PRV was replaced and dumping water. He may well have replaced a faulty PRV with a faulty PRV. On the balance of probability, it seems unlikely that both PRVs would be faulty, but, yeah, it could happen.

And a sandwich bag, tied over the outlet, full of water would absolutely confirm it!
