In theory, your pressure guage would rise on heating demand to such an extent that it would release it through the prv and run under 3 bar while still running. Then when cool it would drop below normal pressure. As stated before in the post, if the pressure guage doesn`t rise you`ve got a leak! If you can`t find it on any pipework the worst case senario is a split coil, new cylinder or not!
