cheers kev as i am moving a sink somebody gave me one but i don't know how to use it, i don't suppose you know of a where i can get some instructions it may save me crawling around under the floor checking for leaks.

what is a pressure test gauge for pipework , and how does it work

One of these:

WHich you can hire for a tenner or so. Pump to 1.5 times max working pressure for 1 hour - there should be no drop.

I own one but I must admit I wouldn't bother using it if only moving a sink.
