If pressurising a vented heating system. Will the coil for the primary flow and return of a copper cylinder take the pressure of a sealed system. Or is this a no? Thanks.

The copper cylinder can not be converted to a pressurised cylinder / unvented ,if that's your intention ??

No sorry, the hot water will still be vented. Its the central heating that am looking at pressurising. So just the primary coil that am concerned about.

Thats ok ,the cylinder itself isn't pressurised. If it is a very old system / cylinder it may be an issue , I think it's a limited possibility

Yes, it may be a problem if it is a very old cylinder 25 years +. Even then it's only a possibility . The worst thing that could happen is the coil could develop a pin hole leak ,and you will need a new cylinder. The fact is no one can tell for sure one way or the other.

Unless you can be sure of all the piping joints under the floors etc is good, ide leave it as unpressurised as you do not want a weak joint popping.

It's an old floor standing boiler for a wall hung one. And can't get 3meters from the top of the boiler to water level in header tank. And can't raise the header. So a strong likely hood it may pump over.

the indirect coil is simply a coil of copper pipe with no joints it will be fine on a pressurised system
