Saw this in Hornchurch today. If you stand back 400 yards and squint, you should be able to make out what it is supposed to say.

Either a friendly tester or they just fit the correct plates back on for the test. When plate makers sell those plates, they are sold as 'not road legal' or 'show plates'.Mottie, a fitting question: how do these people get through MOTs?
I understand some cars may be < 3 years old but many are older.
And why do plate manufacturers make them?
