DVLA withhold plates which they consider to be offensive so would be surprised if 'COCK' was issued anywhere.

Purely by coincidence, I was talking to a friend in the pub last night who told me that he owns both PORN and PORNO. The latter was supposed to be for his wife (if he ever got married).

The registration numbers actually belong to DVLA so can be withdrawn anytime.

I can't see how those letters in that order can be incorporated onto a number plate. (n)

He has had them since the late 90's.

Wouldn't p0rn be possible?

I took what he said at face value. He doesn't have a habit of fibbing but, on reflection, I guess it is possible that he has a number plate that looks a "bit" like the word. That said, he told me that in the old days he used to have to pay an annual fee to DVLA because neither was on a taxed vehicle. He also went on to say that these days you have to pay the registration fee every 10 years if the number is not on a taxed vehicle.

He purchased them as an investment. I would be surprised if he paid so much money over the years for something like "p00rn". That said, I might be wrong.

When I see him next I will find out if it is "p0rn" or a snide version.

Mis-spaced reg letters are against the law.
I've sent over the months quiet a few mis-spaced car reg numbers caught on my dash cam.
Sent them to the police. Certain police forces accept dash cam footage and it is very easy takes a few moments.
I guess they send warning letters and if caught after that a fine etc.
Yes, mis-spaced, mis-represented car reg numbers can be and have been taken away.

IMHO, it just looks naff unless you have top shot of 2/3 or 4 digits that are properly spaced etc and still look puka.
