Why do you think it’s so hard to get a visa ? If one EU country’s rules don’t suit. Try another.

That’s the whole stupidity of the model.
Each country sets its own rules but has to acknowledge the visas issued by others.

The EU is full of non EU citizens, happily living and working, many even legally avoid paying local income tax etc
