proximity of door to top of stair

Hi, does anybody know how close a door on a landing into a bedroom can be to the top of the stair, when the door opens into the bedroom

I have found planning info on it being 400mm (K1) for a door opening out onto a landing so presumably you dont knock anybody down the stair but nothing relating to doors opening into bedrooms.

As you exit the top of the stair onto the landing, I want to add another door directly to the right (the wall the stair runs up) to divide a large bedroom into 2.

I seem to recall that the landing must be as 'deep' as the stair tread is wide.
