Good to see you’re not practicing social distancing. That’s not what I would call a Dunkirk spirit. I’d call that practicing a Lemming mentality. Keep it up, we need less like you.
VERY well said

I lived on Bondi for a time. That was as packed as Christmas day 92. Madness. Not all Aussies the beach will have a heavy number of back packers from around the world.
My mistake. I wasn’t paying attention to the news and got the wrong end of the stick. It was Florida. Dumb invincible Yanks, I might have known.

Bondi beach has also been closed due to people being idiots..

Is it compulsory? What would happen to a pub that defied it and stayed open?
Boris has threatened to take away their license. Quite simple really.

I must admit I like they way he's doing this.. In France.. its I'll fine you if you do this.. fill out the form for that.. and here Boris is saying "now is the time to do this and now is the time time not do that". the vast majority of people are doing it.

We don't need laws if people stop and think.

And there's the problem. Too many selfish idiots with the inability to think.

What comes first though ?
Through years of nannying, too many people have lost the ability to think for themselves anyway.
As I've posted before, I don't think the day is too far away, when I find someone at work has gone blue and expired..... and all because I'd written a work instruction on how to breathe in, but hadn't yet written the one on how to breathe out......

R u tapped or just numb from the neck up?

DP I'm sorry to have roused you and Mottie to an attack of the vapours! Where is your sense of humour? Believe it or not I am following the government's guidelines. Pubs were legitimately open on Friday night.

I'm following the guidelines because I believe in the rule of law, and not necessarily because I believe the "experts" on this disease. I think the response to the virus is out of all proportion, and that the measures will cause more damage than the disease. When it is all over we will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about.

How many diseases that the experts said would wipe us all out have cropped up in recent times? Swine flu; CJD; Aids; Ebola etc etc. All horrible, devastating diseases but they never became as widespread as predicted, and were promptly forgotten. The response to each disease gets more hysterical every time. I blame all these films and computer games brainwashing people about "apolyptic" events and "dystopian" futures.

Not so long ago there was a real killer disease around that spread like wildfire and could not be cured: Tuberculosis. People didn't riot over toilet rolls and pasta, and the pubs did not close. They didn't even have pasta then.

Everything's inferior nowadays, even the diseases.

I'll drink to that.

Seems like you were born 100 years too late boyo. Either that or you are scared witless about moving on.

Modern life is rubbish Boyo.

Why "move on" to something inferior?

I think that you're in denial tbh. The evidence is there for all to see - the number of deaths are shooting up every single day. The response isn't 'out of proportion' at all. I would say it wasn't done fast enough/people didn't and still don't listen.

I'm sure your horse is doing just great and you twice mangle all your washing after you have scrubbed it down by the river. Did you get the village elder to send your post?

Modern Luddites are such hypocrites.
