Sorry for not getting back to you Chris, but I went out and bought 1 for £70 quid, So I'm a bit gutted after seeing the price you offered it at.
O n a happier note, the diagnosis yourself and Kevplumb gave me was spot on and our heating now does what ever we ask it to.
