Nice update and link to the new part.
All I would add is, if possible, fit the inlet fill valve that has the brass thread, will cost a bit more but worth it.
As a side note, mine was doing the same. I also renewed the same part ( service kit you listed above ) and then removed the the black plastic spring finger for the dual flush shown in your picture. This left just the single full flush in operation on the original Ideal Standard and works fine. It’s also best not to place those blue blocks into the cistern as these coukd be a source of “letting by” and possibly affect the plastic seal.
