Hi, could there be future problems caused by external bay windows sills not being properly joined together? Does anyone think these should be plastic welded or are they ok with the joins filled with silicon. If so how hard a job is it to get them properly joined? Thanks.

What in God's name is that? Please don't tell me you've just had that fitted
Yes, it's just been fitted. I called the company who did the job and they are coming back tomorrow to talk about it. I really just want them to replace the sill as I think it should be plastic welded but they might say that a quick repair is all I'll get.

The front or middle section frame is too narrow and the bay pole cover barely overlaps on to the frame so a point of water ingress, my guess is the cill was welded to start with but clearly there's a measuring error here somewhere and they cut through the weld and cut their own mitres to adjust the angle, it's a mess and wants remaking and that's without seeing the rest of it, shocking! Ask the boss which fitter has the MTC card or whether fensa or certass are aware of their fitting practices

I would not be happy with that.
They would need to order a new cill from the factory welded (to the correct angles) remove the windows and start again.
Is their another bay above this one? If so I hope they have used baypole jacks that go through the cill.

A big thanks to crank39, the company have been to see the problem and will be sending someone to fix it next week. Fingers crossed they get it right this time.

Have they replaced the facia above the bay? Get them to replace the 90 degree joiners with a 135 degree joiner
Lazy!!!
