Just getting round to programming this. Have 9 wired inputs - 8 sensors, 1 front door contact (wired to keypad)

Have wireless zem installed with 2x wireless door contacts

Now trying to programme. Wireless door contacts set themselves up on input 17 according to wireless install in engineers. But when I go to input menu to program them and set them for day alarm (because I want them to chime.if open) they do nothing... I think they might not be input 17, so how do I find out their input number easily?

Thanks!

Two contacts wont be on one input they would be on two separate inputs, determined when you went through the learn process.

You can then put in an input description and location to identify where they are.

Easiest way to double check input number is probably do a walk test so you can see which device is against which input at default the zones (inputs) show the input number as the input description.

Sorry, yes 17 and 18.
Thanks will try walk test. - do these all need to be setup in inputs before walk test? - currently none are in use
And could you also help me understand if I want these to be intruder or day alarm (what is the difference?)

I merely want chime to come on these zones when system unset, to be aware if anything has been opened

You will need to set them up as something so they can function and make sure they are assigned to at least A (full set).

Intruder will alarm when system set and not when unset, however day alarm i would have to check its exact definition in the pyronix manual, as not 100% familiar with all the pyronix input functions and wouldnt want to misinform

Thanks just set up 1 through 9 for atleast the wired ones. Problem when doing walk test is the keypad just cycles through input 1,2,3 etc. When one activates on walk test it chimes but won't show which one activated on keypad. Annoying!

they disappear as they are tested successfully

I would use intruder and chime, and have a part set with just certain things on B ut dont really know what you want.

Thanks. Managed to find the standard wired sensors. Can't seem to figure out where the keypad zone (which is my front door contact) is. Does this need to be programmed in a different way?

If u have learned the contacts to inout 17+18 make sure zem 1 is enabled under INSTALL ZEMS
