Well what was the fault then.
It is a supply to an outside celler cooler 3phase .

Dead short between all 3 phases at the triple pole contactor in celler.
Ip44 Isolator in the celler, approx 3 met from mcb and about 20 met away from unit.

This looked a bit suspect
Not the problem though.
Clue to answer in the first pic

Rf you will know this one. :)

2 possibilities spring to mind:
The lack of proper cable entry resulting in the cable being exposed to a sharp edge and vibration so the metal cut through the cable

Atrocious joint in the cable letting water in.

Super duper strong cable tie has crushed the cable shorting it all :D

It looks as if it been slashed just before it passes through the roof?

I'd have got that straight away if your pictures were clearer

I'll see if anyone else knows ;)

slash cable?
missing link on repair joint?
missing furrel?
water damage?
cable tie too tight?
Rat damage?

Don't know.
not very clear picture.

Maybe when it rain, it pour into damage cable to the unit, short out 3 phase?

or been pulled out?

Dan.

EDIT Wrong spelling.

A little bit off the current question, but it looks like there is no armaflex on the suction pipe.

Right, this is outside

Inner cores not damaged.
Unit switched off on its own built in isolator (not shown)

Big puddle when rains

Ip44 isolator down in the celler 20 metres away.
