The water runs down the cable and into the top of the isolater, therefore shorting out

Yeah, the Ip44 done a good job of sealing the water Inside

Dead short inside the isolator 20 metres away.

Yes I do, & Refrigeration Systems.

But also I have also noticed that on most outside isolators the cables have been bought in through the tops of the isolators & not the bottoms.
