Hi All,
Hope you might be able to offer me a bit of help.
I had a Steinel PIR floodlight fail, not the first time, but each time customer services have replaced them, can’t fault them there.
An old XLED 2XL failed and it’s been replaced with a newer model. I was hoping it would be a straight swap, but the terminal blocks differ.
The old light was switch operated, off operated on PIR, on was permanently on.
The old light had 4 terminals on the wiring block, live, neutral, earth and switched live. This is where they differ. The new one has 3 terminals: live, another point that has both live and earth symbols and a neutral.
And this is where my confusion comes from. I haven’t found any reference via search to new Steinel lights not having an earth, but is this the case here if I want to operate it on switched live like before? Steinel instructions are vague and light (if you forgive the pun) at best.
many thanks
