Hi, I had my Worcester CDI classic serviced last week and was told the same thing about having the electrode kit replaced due to the glass safety issue. I wondered if anyone could tell me:
1 how long this problem has been known about
2 should the electrode kit always be replaced or is it up to the engineer?
The reason why I ask is because my boiler was serviced 2 years ago and that engineer didn't mention it.
Luckily my boiler was under warranty for 2 more weeks so I can have it replaced free of charge but I will not be happy if the previous engineer left me with a potentially dangerous boiler and made no mention that it was a possible issue.
Thank you.
