hi

im going to lay a shower tray, the plan is to lay it on bricks to give it some height to gain access to the waste trap, this is how the customer prefers it.

first im going to lay the single course of bricks,i was then going to lay a bed of cement on the bricks and fix the shower tray to the course of bricks,

how long should i let the course of bricks go off before putting the tray on,as i imagine the weight of the tray will disturb the brick's if laid to early, would it be best to let it fully harden before putting the tray on,less chance of any movement then,

thanks :) :)

cheers kevplumb,

i wanted to fix it on a wooden frame,i normally build a frame then sit the tray on a thin bed of sanitary silicone to hold it firm,

i guess i better advise them not to use the cement, whats cracks, tray or cement, never fitted one on cement as yet, lucky on that one

cheers

i thought all shower trays were lay on a sand and cement base! do it all at the same time waiting on the bricks to set is the same as waiting for the tray to set on the bricks.
