I'll ask a question; the first person who answers correct gets to ask the next Question.

And so on.

You can Google but try not too. If it drags on then Google.

Okay...

Folklore, for many years it was said that "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond was about the daughter of JFK. According to him, it isn't. So who does he say it is about?

Oh, and the answer is easy to google.

Apparently, he's made both claims at different times, and her name was Marcia.

Yep, it was his wife (Marcia).

As @Pat ex says, in 2007 he said it was about JFK's daughter, but in 2014, he said he decided that he needed a name with 3 syllables.

Who know in the future he may say that it was about someone else.

Your turn.

I suspect in 1969, it wasn't a problem to find something sweet about an 11 year old. But in 2007, he might have been concerned about the potential sexualising of an 11 year old.
And Marcia is also 3 syllables. So he could have sung "Sweet Marcia"

Who let the dogs out?
According to the op whoever answers the question correctly gets to ask the next one: why has Pat-ex been trodden over his question?

No matter, I'm not bothered. I only look in very occasionally.
That's not really the point: you asked the q. 'who let the dog's out?' and were ignored in favour of Justin Passings question. If the people have put you on ignore i can see why this would happen, otherwise it's pig ignorance, plain as day.

I appreciate your argument and your concern, OddsBodkin, but I'm really not bothered.

If anyone wants to take on the question, I'll respond, but otherwise, I'm really not bothered.
I just don't want to see another thread turn into any kind of argument. Yes, even threads in which I have little interest.

Fair enough.
Point made.
As for the question, i can't remember "Who let the dog's out" but the chorus is now stuck in my head, so thanks for that.

It was never answered. It was a rhetorical question.
Apparently, during a party, the males and females were having a spat at each other, and one of the females responded with "who let the dogs out." as an insult directed at the males.
But there are other songs in US culture, such as, "Ooo", let the dogs out!", and "You let the dogs out!"

According to the op whoever answers the question correctly gets to ask the next one: why has Pat-ex been trodden over his question?

According to Opps who asked the question, my post which preceded Pat Ex's, was accepted.
He wrote in reply to mine
Yep, .....

Your turn.

I'm not sure where in there the baton could NOT have been seen to have passed. Can anyone?

I see where the confusion arose: you said his wife and P-ex gave her name as Marcia and proceeded to ask the question 'who let the dog's out' which you ignored and asked a q. about VW.
Opps thumbed-up both answers so is it down to him for an adjudication?

down to him for an adjudication?
What, after he'd said "your turn"?
Not likely.

I would only go on to ask another question in the same post if I knew my answer was right. I didn't.
There's a often a wait of a few hours!
That doesn't mean someone else would normally jump in with another right answer.

There's a photo-identifying quiz on another site where a day has to pass. That seems to work.

Opps posted that at 1.12pm then Pat-ex responded with his question, then you put yours out there. His reply tells both answers were correct: you say his wife, P-ex gives her name, then opps says 'your turn' without making it clear who he was telling. We just need him to sign-in to clarify.

What you just posted isn't what happened, you are mistaken.
Read it again slowly.
"then you put yours out there" ? Incorrect. You made that up.

Opps said who it WASN'T. - which was provided in the question
I had given the accepted answer at about 5 a.m., some 6 hours before
Pat Ex elaborated. at 1:12pm when Opps said "yep" and that it was my turn.

Opps' "Your Turn" is in reply to my earlier post - because that was the one he quoted.

If it was good enough for him it's good enough for you, yes?

And we moved on.

According to the op whoever answers the question correctly gets to ask the next one: why has Pat-ex been trodden over his question?

Although @Pat ex knew the answer, @Justin Passing guessed the correct answer. The answer I was looking for was "his wife", rather than the actual name of the person. On reflection, yeah, I guess that I could have been clearer.

By virtue of the fact that I was replying to Justin's post, I thought it obvious that I was replying to Justin and not Pat (apologies to Pat).
