You have to be fair, the guys / gals on here can't see your bathroom, usual advice applies, get 3 estimates, but don't necessarily go with the cheapest. They were only mildly teasing you, if you want properly insulting go onto the General Discussion section 
However in all fairness £2k doesn't sound all that bad.... well it does to me as I'd do it myself!
