Hi all

I have recently installed a towel radiator. I filled it with water 24 hours ago, and have had the heating on and off (timer) since.

I’ve placed a tub underneath with a piece of kitchen roll to check for any leaks. I’ve had no leaks at all until this afternoon, a very slight leak coming from this screw point circled in the picture below.

I dried off the valve, and reset the kitchen roll. The heating has been on for an hour and I have no leak at all, and the radiator is piping hot.

To me, a leak is a leak so why is the leak not showing again?

Thanks for your help

The "leak" might have been filled with gunk and sludge.

Keep an eye on the valve and the boilers pressure, if it's dropping then it needs to be fixed.

Did you add PTFE tape, or any form of plumbing thread to the valve? Double check if you have tightened it properly.
