I have rads that stay on even when the thermo is turned down and the CH is set to OFF. The only way I can turn the rads off is by doing each rad at a time. To top it all off I have no hot water from the taps and the cylinder is stone cold. Anyone know what's going on?

Glow-worm spacesaver mk2 boiler. Pump (grundfos 15-50) changed about three weeks ago and all was going fine until a couple of days ago. The cylinder is cold but the pipes are hot and the rads are hot all of the time, even when the controls are set to OFF.

a few cases like this on the forum lately.

Its probably a faulty zone valve. (This one is white, they can be siver coloured.)

Have a look to see if your system has one (or even two, sometimes 3!). How many are there on your system, and how many pipes go into it . :?:

Yep, I have one of those with three pipes going into it.

If there is a little lever on the valve's square head that can be pushed over to manual, try push it over and see if that cuts the pump off. (obviously with the system set to off). even if it don't you might get hot water again.

Turn the boiler heat setting down to minimum.

look near the programmer or near the zone valve, there should be a single gang electical outlet on the wall, like a socket but without holes for a plug. This is a fused spur.

To turn off the heating........ if it is switched, switch it off. If not, turn off the electricity and remove the fuse.
