Further to issues discussed in this thread https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/damp-condensation-on-party-wall.519835/. Which seemed to be caused by some sort of a leak.

I now have the wall with random wet patches on the wall. They don't seem to have a pattern ( some are ground level, others a foot from the ground and some in middle of the room.

I drilled a hole through one of them and the cavity seems bone dry. This patch in question seems to get brighter / wetter if the heating is off for a day or so. So seems to be attaching surface moisture.

I have used a damp meter and it detects varying levels of damp on and around the patches.

I'm in two minds over taking a brick out to have a look or just seal it and hope for the best.

Any ideas if this will / can get worse than it currently is?

Could be that the odd brick is contaminated with hygroscopic salts are similar?
Would a damp seal paint stop the patch from getting any worse?

Just went to the house and the loudest noise on the meter is on a spot that has salt / white residue mark. Any suggestions on where I go from here?
