Every trade has the same time constraints.

"You need an new piece of floorboard madam - that's £84 plus fetching and fitting. Let's just call it £200".

"You need an new piece of floorboard madam - that's £84 plus fetching and fitting. Let's just call it £200".

That would also include disposal of the old floorboard though wouldn't it?

Waste disposal license??

You just don't think do you.

Yes they do and trust me you are charged regardless of what you think and regardless of trade, if you are told what the problem is then you have to pay for it when it comes to a boiler, if a floor board is bust you know the fault! If the paint is peeling off your walls you know the fault, and if water is pouring through the ceiling you know the fault, if the lights don't turn on then you know the fault, but if you boiler isn't working you know there is a fault but you wouldn't have a clue what it is till you get told hence the fee.

Also, if the section needs to be made from engineered boards, then unless you have a BSc(hons) in engineering, you aren't qualified to make the repair.

you can have engineered joists engineered beams but last time i looked no engineered boards so have you now become cock 90s side kick and there was me thinking he had no mates so joe90 no mates finally has a friend maybe he can phone a friend instead of annoying geniune ppl trying to make a living by the way joe the cock how much do you earn how much is unemployment benifit nowadays

Let's turn this around a bit shall we?

You little old Mum drives up her drive and her wheel goes clunk so she thinks there might be a problem.

She phones a nice man with an advert from Yellow Pages:

"AAAAA Tarmac Specialists. Fully trained workmen."

They duly arrive in a brand new 4x4 with a bale of hay in the back.

The nice man gets out and speaks to your Mum in an Irish accent.

"Bejesus it's a hole true enough. It'll need filling. I'll go and get the materials right away and fix it."

He comes back, fixes the hole and says, "That's £84 diagnostic fee, £50 to fetch the tarmac in me own van with me own red diesel, and £85 for labour. Let's just call it £300 cuz I was out on a job collecting copper wire on the railway when you rang. Plus my insurance. I'm way too cheap, me. I've got a horse to feed"

FFS - you'd call the Police.

The Gas Safe register should be on CrimeWatch UK.

So you expect to pay £84 at the local garage when your rotor arm needs replacing? Plus parts and fitting on top of that? Let's just call it £250.

FFS - you'd call trading standards.

Cars don't have rotor arms now Joe, they've had electronc ignition for the last 30 years or so. Try and keep up.

£84 in Liverpool? You must be the city's top earner.

It's a trick he learned from a gas fitter - tell lies, lies and more lies.

Spark plugs for his diesel then.
