Hi
I have put the central heating on this morning for the first time in a couple of months and the boiler started to make a whining noise.
I thought it might be the fan so I stripped it down and gave everything a good clean. However it was not the fan as the noise is still present.
The radiators have got warm, but it has taken about an hour to get them to an acceptable temp. The whining is constant, save for when a tap is run and the boiler switches to heat the water. As soon as the tap is turned off the noise returns.
The pump was replaced about two years ago and the diverter valve about four months ago.
Any ideas anyone please?
Thanks
