Hi There,
I've recently moved into a new house that I am planning to rewire, then get professionally checked and tested. I am looking at replacing an old fuse box with a consume unit. Now, I am an amateur installer at best, and although I have had no problems installing a split load system, I am a tad confused when it comes to RCBO's.
The first problem is, I am not sure how they are wired into the consumer unit. Anyone have a RCBO CU configuration diagram ? or able to draw me a simple one ? Now, the buzzbar connection, the live and neutral are all fine, but there appears to be two extra connections via tails. See http://tinyurl.com/6cjw8 these ones at RS. Notice the black and white tails. What are their purpose ?
Anything else I should know about RCBO's ? I assume their current rating is the same as their MCB counterparts, e.g 6A for a lighting circuit etc ?
Any input apprecaited.
