Type S wouldn't comply for the protection of a concealed cable , only normal 30mA or less RCDs can be used for this.
I like the idea of using SWA, however as has already been said the fact that it was installed to a previous edition of the regs doesn't automatically make it dangerous and you are not altering it as such I'd leave it be - by all means note it on the certificate and point it out to the owner but let them make the call.
