Oki im about to embark on retiling my own bathroom and im debating whether to go with real travertine or a PORCELAIN travertine effect.
Obviously the real stuff does seems to be cheaper sourced from Marblemosaics of plumpton green. But i heard that there is a whole myriad of problems with real travertine , is this true having never worked with the material i wouldnt no.
I realise Porcelain is quite interesting to work with as we had to invest in like £300 worth of marcrist equipment to regulary drill the stuff. Does it cut oki with say a good quailty diamond wet wheel, will a rubi ts-80 cut it or does everything have to be cut on the wheel?. If anyone can suggest any additional products or sealers to use say the bal products.
