Really bad resin trim job by bathroom fitter

Hello, it was the arthritis that made me think, treat myself to a tradie to do the upstairs bathroom. Quite the disaster as it turns out, one aspect of which is the very poor job the lad made of the resin on mitred corners. All his choice and advice I hasten to add. He wanted to mitre tiles, not bullnose or trim finish. He wanted to apply resin. He's applied it like a toddler with PVA. One example attached. My understanding is that there is nowt to be done about this other than removing the tiles and starting again. I wonder what your advice would be? TIA I gave the lad notice to finish at day's end due to this and his inability to measure accurately for a 80c washbasin ('well it's only 5mm too short and I can cut the tiles out round it') and unfamilarity with toilet basin installation.

You could fit some right angle trim, plastic or aluminium.

As above, there are various outside corner trims available in various materials.
You will have to remove the tiles from either side of the corner.
If you are still troubled by the basin installation then come back with a pic of the basin?

Thing is, I'm unsure how the trim could adhere. In places the resin has bonded completely across the gap, leaving nowhere for the 'tail' of the trim to go. And I'm told it's not possible to bond anything on top of resin....although I may have got this wrong?

You will have to remove the tiles from either side of the corner.
If you are still troubled by the basin installation then come back with a pic of the basin?

I'm Ok about installing a basin but sadly the space won't stretch....the bathroom fitter advised me to get an 80cm wide Ikea basin and vanity, then managed in his infinite skill to leave a gap 0.5cm too small to fit it. This was on top of the guy failing to put down dustsheets, so my stair carpet got full of adhesive and grout dust - he was so untidy that his work spaces looked like crime scenes - he even lost his wallet in there at one point. He gradually took over the garage and driveway as well as the spare bedroom, but when he started filling the master bedroom too with his stuff I had had enough, on top of the tiling and basin issues. You may sense I'm a touch annoyed.

Scape it out & start again. I have found two strips of masking tape works well about 8mm out from the corner & somthing half round to run over the mastic, or a damp finger. Then after 30 seconds pull off the tape.

OP,
As I said above: remove the tiles on either side of the corner.

Epoxy resin can be removed using Acetone wipes.
Or forget about removing tile or attempting to slide in corner trim, & use a chrome/silver tile trim from amazon? You just stick it over the corner.
