hoping someone with more knowledge than me can assist.
my mother’s heating is not turning on.
she has a boss therm bps242rf Thermostat and receiver, with a baxi Combi boiler.
She changed batteries recently on thermostat and receiver had red light on and not green, i reset the receiver and re- paired with thermostat, light went green. When thermostat sends message to turn on, the relay light on receiver turns orange indicating that they are communicating, however boiler does not turn on. If you tap the receiver then boiler kicks in and works. When thermostat time ends boiler turns off, but does not come back on when thermostat turns on unless you tap it.
Hot water works fine, boiler was serviced about 6 months ago. She has only just turned thermostat on for heating so problem has only just become apparent. Ive taken cover off receiver can’t see any loose wires, I’ve turned receiver off at wall to try and reset.
I’m assuming it must be a problem with the receiver, should I just get a new receiver and thermostat and replace this?
