hi could someone tell if this saw is any good for cutting copper pipe in a tight space as i cant get a pipe slice around the pipe

Only if the pipe has enough room behind it, and isn't tight to the wall, to allow the blade to move forwards and back, or else you will bend blades up, and perhaps damage the saw. You also need a steady grip, to achieve a clean cut. 
use pipe slice and pair of grips
