1967 I went into the Navy came home in 68 to free love and all that hippy/beatnik stuff so had the choice of either going back to a life afloat with men and capstan full strength or a life on the beach with the chicks and waccy baccy, guess which one I chose?

Are children of the '60s the most well adjusted, adventurous, well balanced nicest people you know?
I'ld say they are: I was born in the early 60's = no daytime tv, no computers, no playstations, not so many cars yet, no money ;) (well not much)=
respect for teachers/vicars/police/parents/neighbours/family, playing outside inventing your own adventures, lots of nature to explore, lots of friends to play with, settling our own fights/arguments without a 'remaining' grudge' later on etc etc.
Makes the right 'ground' for being adjusted, adventurous and well balanced I think ;)

you can't blame the kids, both parents are out to work and the whole family thing has changed, we went round to friends for dinner the other night and had dinner off our laps!! they didnt have a dinning table, people don't sit down and chat over dinner about their day etc.
and the tv was on!!

What ever happened to Tudor crisps and that chewy tobacco stuff for kids (Spanish Gold I think - lost many a good tooth to that stuff)?

My son goes to a friend's where this is the norm. He doesn't seem to mind it but I certainly would.
