Just the one nest in all those trees? I'd not be surprised if there were more and it would be quite hard to spot them in that dense shrub..We did have a nest up until last month at one end but there's been no activity for several weeks.
indeed - too many cats about.Just the one nest in all those trees? I'd not be surprised if there were more and it would be quite hard to spot them in that dense shrub..
Anyway, it is illegal to destroy a nest, disturb young. Birds have a hard time of it as it is, are you able to wait a month? It's not all that long.
Waiting is not a problem but we are aware of the nesting issue. The reason I mention it was that the birds were rather "confrontational" whenever we went up into one corner of the garden. But that stopped happening in May.how do you know she's not sitting? birds are very secretive and nests very cryptic.
We still have a tree sparrow on eggs in a box - its her third brood.
I did think of that but some of the trunks seem quite wide. Then there's the time to do the chipping... but it's certainly a good idea. The difference between hiring a woodchipper and a van would be negligible...I would cut down and then hire a heavy duty wood chipper for about £70 per day, it will eat your hedge. Bag up and take to your dump.
They're not in South Wales are they? I may do a MyBuilder quote just to rip the trees down then.6" chipper for what the job would need would be more than 70 quid .
If that were cut down and the chipper could be got close I reckon my Son, his employee plus his 6" timberwolf would demolish in a day for around £450-500 mark.
I take it you feel the same about Rated People? tbh I haven't had much luck with either of them in the past. But the idea is good.East Monmouthshire, too far from you, Forget Mbuilder unless you want Cowboy's
