Just wondering if anyone has used a small angle grinder to strip out the weeds between block pavers???? If yes, then what disc is suitable.

I see there are some specific tools for this,

Your far less likely to get a steel bit fly somewhere or rip your skin to bits if you use some weedkiller.
Then gat an old large screwdriver etc. and use it to rake out the joints before you refill them with the appropriate material.

Don't don't don't attempt using an angle grinder for this - it's about as sensible as ironing your genitals, putting a bar heater in the bath, or cleaning your teeth with a belt sander...

general comments
angle grinder several times more powerful several times faster
danger levels further multiplied as rather than an arms length tool plus a metre or so more that at worst will bump out the gap harmlessly and possibly shine the slabs in an unwelcome fashion will now turn into
a faster running more powerful grinder with no guiding wheel so bouncing about a few inches from vital body parts so does not bear thinking off

we all need some variety and some occasional excitement in our lives ---
--will let you know how it goes when i find the iron (y) ;)

I'll swerve the angle grinder idea........and remove the bar heater and belt sander from the bathroom. The wife is contemplating the iron idea though, I'm not convinced.

Thanks for the help!

I jet washed out my block paving and resanded with a a few bags of salt added to sand to dissuade growth.
