Hello all,

Any trusted product/treatment that you could recommend to remove the water based white paint marks (cured now being 6 months old) from the fully finished charcoal oak veneer LPD doors?
The builders probably didn't cover the doors fully when they spray painted the house and the fine veneer lines in the charcoal door showing up the tiny droplets of the white paint making the door look really shabby. Could you please suggest something that I can try to restore the charcoal look?

Many Thanks in advance.

Meths will strip waterbased paint buy not oil based paint.
It's how you test a paint surface to see what it is.

You need to test it won't effect door surface first though

Thank you both for your valuable comments. I will try your suggestions and will post my findings.

Thanks again

As per the previous posts, meths or isopropyl alcohol will work. Cellulose thinners will be faster but might damage the laquer on the veneer. I guess you need to find out what finish the manufacturer used on the veneer. If waterbased, you need to steer clear of the solvents mentioned above.
