Hi, first-timer hoping for help.
New small single storey extension - std cavity wall thermalite / dense block. Builder's done the shell and I'm handling internal & external finish.
For external I'm not keen on K-Rend and I prefer to paint my own colour - small / single storey will be quick and easy to maintain - and I do prefer a smoother finish if possible - although one potential plasterer has recommended rougher / tyrolene and I'm waiting for another guy to come round to quote shortly.
I'm not really wised up on render types so any thoughts / suggestions for best type so I can be more engaging with the next guy.
Also it's block above and below DPC - couldn't get bricks to match the existing ones visible below DPC elsewhere on house. I can either brick slip below DPC or I did see a comment on here that can be rendered below dpc as well provided they know what they are doing - so how can I suss if this guy knows his stuff on that front?
Not really weather facing
Cheers
