If its flat and solid 9 inch ? dot and dab with thermaback plus and tape it if you are a novice

hi , its a old lime stone wall about 2 ft thick facing stone all clean in a living room
lime stone bedded but pointed with sand and cement
no danp proof or injeced damp proof
faily flat for a old wall

You have 5 if not more options,

1: as it is solid it is loosing energy, fix 75mm batons to the wall at 400mm centres, put 50mm cellotex in with a 25mm gap, staple a vapour barrier to the studs, 12.5mm board, tape and skim.

2: dot and dab thermaback plus boards to the wall, tape and skim

3: 2 coat lime render and lime set so it breaths (not such a good u value)

4: Limelight backing coat and limelight skim coat ( has some u value)

5: chemical inject a dpc and render and set ( use sulphate resisting cement)

option 1, but dont attach to the wall, just fix the head and sole plates

even better put head and sole plates 25mm away from the wall, still use 75mm cls then you can up your cellotex to 75mm (mmmmmm! toasty)
