Replace my gledhill pulsacoil 2000

So after nearly 16 years looking to replace my gledhill pulsacoil 2000 what with insurance etc its virtually had everything replaced over time except tank.
So my question 1 bedroom apartment with 1 shower what are your thoughts on gledhill pulsacoil eco stainless 150.Suitable replacement no oil or gas ideal for apartments.
So how much to take out old one replace with no one all in around east midlands area.
Seen at various prices would it better to buy myself and then get someone to fit it or just let them do the whole job.Any other suitable makes open to offers.Any other information gratefully received.

Heating engineers generally do not like those type of unit because we find them so unreliable.

But unfortunately there is generally no other alternative available.

Bearing in mind so much has been changed then why change it if the tank is not leaking?

They probably cost about £800 and due to size and weight would not be very cheap to replace.

Because its been about 5 years since something serious has gone and looking to plan as alot of the others near me have had to be changed

Mike is in Reading and will travel to repair them, and charge for travelling, I don't think he is very keen on replacing them.

They are very simple to replace in terms of the plumbing and electrics.

But being big and heavy it involves a lot of manpower moving them around. They are usually on the upper floors when they need replacing.

Its normal to only replace them when they start leaking. That is often when they are just 10 years old.

That is neglect. If they have had inhibitor in them they should last 30 years.

Disagree mr agile. X100 used for correct dilution every time. Reaching again are we?

Perhaps DP, like me only uses proper quality chemicals.

But installations that I visit more often than not have been installed with the cheap own brands.

Customers don't know the difference between Fernox and cheap brands. Very few installers even fit the sticker to the boiler.
