Hi,

I have a regular vented boiler system with a HW cylinder. My old timer in the Kitchen (Randall 3020P) has an 24 'round timer' within it and a couple of switches for off/on/timed and hot water/HW & Central Heating.

The only problems are I have to have the HW on twice a day as the two mains timer switchers are embedded within the timer and you cannot choose only once. The other main problem is the noise, you get a really squeaking noise so my question is can I replace this for a digital timer system. I don't want nothing fancy just something digital to replace the current system and that I can set my HW to come on say for an hour a day and without the current noise I get.

Cheers

Should be able to without too much issue.

Google the boiler maker and model, get the wiring outputs from the makers installation guide and then compare those with the programmer units maker.

Many programmers come with a chart showing how you replace an old programmer.

Here's a link to the Invensys compatability guide.

They make 4 or 5 programmers that are easy swops: click me
