Hi All,

First-time poster here. I just registered because I find myself stuck with some DIY work I've done on my intercom system. I live in a council apartment block with a total of 12 apartments. I'm currently renovating my apartment whenever I have some free time, and I decided to replace and relocate the intercom phone.

Originally, the apartment had one intercom phone, which my grandmother had someone extend to a different location closer to where she would sit due to mobility issues. The original intercom phones were the Came Entrotec ED4 models, and I purchased an updated version, the ED5. The installation diagrams are a mirror of the old phones, so I thought this would be a straightforward task.

Unfortunately, the device does not seem to buzz, nor does the privacy button activate. However, when I answer, there is sound traveling from and to the main entry door of the block. I tried to reinstall the old ED4, but it does not seem to work either, although when pressing the privacy button, it illuminates for a brief second and then fades away.

Can anyone please help?

Thank you,
Sean

Thanks for the answers. I installed the wires as per the diagram attached. I may need to contact the council if that is the case.
