How do you know that the new chrome fitting doesnt have a built in pullcord , surely the polarity would matter then

you can put the + or - anyway that you feel like.

NO electricians refer to a/c as + & -.

I am not deaf, I am not an electrician either. I will describe two wires anyway i please.

He did not mention one It could be remote controlled as well, It may even have a built in smoke detector or a c.c.t.v camera or even have a g.p.s locator built in too. Whatever happened to a good old light bulb

I have not wired any ES bulbs in my lifetime, although I have wire countless fittings that they are screwed into though

Perhaps you should not have.

Never mind, by the law of averages you may have got half of them right.

I am not an electrician either.
