Hey,

I'm looking for some advice on replacing my existing thermostat (Reliance RWC programmable thermostat), with a newer Reliance RWC 240v Programmable + WiFi Thermostat.

I'm trying to map the wires on the existing thermostat to the new one but the volt free relay is throwing me off on the new one.

I've attached images of both thermostats and their respective wiring diagram. Can anyone let me know their thoughts on how the old maps to the new?

Much appreciated.

Thanks

There's an extra relay contact on your old stat, that switches a live output on L1. Apart from that, imagine on your old stat, if the brown wire went into L1, instead of L; the two stats would be virtually identical.

So, on the new stat,
The Blue wire would go to N
Brown would go to L, keep the red link wire in place.
Black would go to NO.

Edit:
You were mixing up the models with the wiring diagram - that was for the RF thermostat, not the wired WiFi thermostat...
