Hi All,

I want to replace my existing timer and programmer to a Hive. I’m assuming the new hive programmer replaces the Drayton Sm2. But what do I do with the Digistat wireless receiver? Do I just take its cables out of the junction box and do away with it as the hive is both a timer and wireless system in one? And does anything need to be done with the cylinder stat?

If anyone can advise on the wiring that would be helpful too!

Thanks,

Please see photos.

Yes, the dual channel Hive would replace the SM2 - it should be a straight swap; fitting on the same backplate as the SM2, without any wiring modifications.

However, the SCR will need to be linked out, if it's not in the way, this is simple to do by moving a wire or two, behind the SCR.
If you would rather the SCR and cable were removed entirely, we would have to investigate the wiring centre.

The tank stat can also remain connected as it is.

Can you post some pictures of the wiring behind the SCR and SM2 (and wiring centre, if you would like to remove the SCR), and we should be able to confirm the wiring and advise further.
