Sorry if this has been asked before.
I currently have an old UPVC Door with a side window. I want to replace both door and window - but want to remove the wall directly under the window to fit a door with a full length side panel/window.
There are no electrics or pipes to consider from what I can see - and I wouldn't be increasing the overall width of the gap so the current lintel covers the area. I also wouldn't need to remove any bricks near the damp course due to my entrance being elevated. I am confident in using large power tools as I build furniture but this would be my first "masonry" project other than cutting a channel in a concrete slab to fit drains.
The job itself seems quite straight forward but wanted to ask if there was anything I have missed and should consider.. before ordering the door and beginning to remove bricks haha!
