Replacing Honeywell wireless receiver with a Hive

Stupid question, but how to you run the cable to the back of the receiver? There is nowhere for the cable to run up.

I have looked at UFH a few times 1732444431445.pngthe controller is full of relays, and loads of thermostats, I am sure there is a way to turn off all, rather than a load of internet connected thermostats? I look at my own house 1732445436259.jpeg and yes the app shows a whole host of thermostats, handy for the TRV thermostats, as don't want to bend down to alter them, but the wall mounted, easier to adjust it on the wall, than get the phone out.

To explain more. Measurements are approx

We had a 4m living room and a 3m kitchen. Had the wall knocked down and a 4m extension build.

The old kitchen and extension has UFH and the old living room a radiator.

When I had the thermostat in the old kitchen, I think the radiator from the front room would heat enough to not switch on the UFH… but means a freezing cold kitchen, with no door as it’s open planned.

Does that make sense?

OK, so now looking at the Hive more and buying Hive TRV's, I realise that the Hive should be on the MAIN heating (radiators). I can then use HOD (Heat On Demand), so could keep our hallway at 18oC then other rooms hotter if needed, without the whole house warming up.

Would swapping the Nest and Hive also be an easy thing to do?

The Nest thermostat is currently wired up, so when i come to swapping, I just ignore them cables?

It should be straightforward.
Do I take it from the description, that your Nest thermostat has a wired connection to the Heatlink?
If you could show us the wiring connections on the Heatlink and the Thermostat, we can give you an idea of how to proceed.

Hello

Yes, it is wired from the thermostat to the heatlink. I have a stand for it to go in.

I will try and snap a photo of the Heatlink this evening.

Thank you all for your help!
