Reposition basketball hoop

I need to remove the basketball hoop from our outside wall and reposition it higher up. How can I tell what size drill bit is suitable for the size of the screws that comes with it? Likewise, how do I know what size rawl plugs to use?

First thing to do would be take it down from it's present position.
This will give you the length and diameter of screw you need.
From this you can determine what raw plugs you may need.
For something like a basketball hoop, (with backboard I presume), you will probably be looking at the brown plugs and I would imagine they may be 5mm diameter by 75mm-100mm long.

Same size plug as drill bit 6-7mm should be fine
