we have a flat wall which we want the burner on but the couple of fire shops i have been to have been very vauge on actual requirements need to install to building regs.
I need to know if i just make a false chimney breast what distance does the fire need to be from the insde structure and back wall..
and if i make a brick insert for the fire to sit in and then created the larger breast around it does the brick insert need to go up to the ceiling
i will be double skinning the flue
any help please

thanks

If you are using a stainless steel, insulated double skinned flue pipe you don't need to build a chimney breast.
