I can be picky sometimes and I've noticed the cill weld on picture 1 and 3 doesn't line up with the centre flute on the baypole cover moulding, both a mirror image of each other so like the centre section is too narrow or is further forward than the side wings
Thanks for the helpful info. One other question-what gap should there be between the bottom of the frame and the cill-I assume Residence 9 would specify what the gap should be? Is there a minimum and maximum measurement?
The gap isn't specified as such but is achieved by an upstand on the cill leaving a uniform gap all the way along assuming the window is sat right down on the cill all the way along
Thanks-pleased to see that the gap is acceptable.
I have now inspected the inside of all of the windows. There appears to be a lot of minor damage to frames etc. Pictures attached.
A lot of the UPVC covering the Georgian Bars is badly cut.
I had hoped that R9, sold to me as a premium product, would be better than this.
I will be inspecting outside when the weather improves.
This morning I heard a bang. This is what I found...
I now have no confidence in these windows at all.
Can I get Residence 9 out to perform an inspection of the installation?
Agree entirely. I was thinking more of the original designers of the R9 window probably being the best people to ask about whether the windows were correctly manufactured and installed.
My failed sealed unit has been inspected and replacement authorised.
My windows are glass bonded but the installer claims that they can put a new sealed unit into the existing frame.
Is that right?
So you have had your windows for 6 years now - Are these residence units all they are cracked out to be
I have quite a few single glazed wood windows in perfect condition but want to get double glazing due to coldness - Are these residence really the same as wood ?
