Hi all. Question?

MIL is living in an over 55s/ retirement complex. Each property has pull cords to summon help that contact a central control via telephone if activated and there is a box in the hallway where the control can talk to the resident when the system has been activated via pull cord/smoke alarm etc. I have triggered it a few times when decorating and always end up speaking with the control (ie admitting I am an idiot!)
So when fttp/dv comes to the complex would the same system still be useable as the providers are now talking about having wi-fi to cover the properties which to me is a backward step.
The current system is run by Tunstall who some on here might be familiar with.
Thanks
