Hi. I live in a 30 year old bungalow and the 2 lines of sloping ridge tiles to one of my "hips" could do with attention.
Simple question, re-do (properly !) with (as present) bedding on mortar or replace with modern dry ridge system ?
Which option is best / preferred / recommended ?
Many thanks.

OP,
Why not post pics of the hips & the main ridge (if you have one?)?
Properly fitted dry installations work fine.
But if you have fibre cement slates then it can be a delicate job? Pics will show what you have.

The roof and ridge tiles are concrete.

OP,
As above, I would stick with the present tiles but the pics are not too clear when I focus so I cant see any defects in the tile pointing?

The pics show the "good hip end" of my bungalow. The hip with defective ridge tiles is the other end and is difficult to photograph.
All my roof tiles are fine it is only the 2 lines of sloping ridge tiles to the hip that will require attention albeit not immediately but as I live in a very windy coastal location, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" !!

Would I just purchase ridge tiles from the general Marley range to match with Mendips ?
